IRVINE, Calif. (July 17, 2017) – The runner-up at the Web.com Tour’s Utah Championship last weekend utilized Fourteen Golf’s RM-22 Tour Raw Wedges in lofts of 52 and 58 degrees.
It was the fourth top 10 finish of the season for the Mexican-born University of Oklahoma 25-year-old, who shot 2-under par at Oakridge Country Club in Farmington, Utah, with rounds of 67-63-71-63-264 on the Par 71 layout. He earned $52,261 and currently is fifth among the top 25 players who would move up to the PGA TOUR next season.
Meanwhile, at the U.S. Women’s Open, Fourteen Golf players finished T-5 and T-8 at Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Tying for fifth was the 26-year-old Spaniard who used Fourteen Golf’s RM-22 wedges in lofts of 50, 54 and 58 degrees. She shot 6-under par 282 with rounds of 69-71-72-70. It was her fourth top 10 finish of the season for which she earned $207,269.
Finishing T-8 was the 26-year-old South Korean who used Fourteen Golf’s TF-616 irons. Winner of the Kia Classic earlier this year, she shot a 5-under par total with rounds of 70-74-67-72-283, good for a paycheck worth $145,234.
“Fourteen Golf is extremely proud that golfers on two of the world’s most prestigious tours are playing our widely respected wedges and irons,” said Masashi Kamoda, chief operating officer of Fourteen Golf. “We would like to congratulate them all.”
The incredibly high spin rate of Fourteen Golf’s RM-22 wedges is a result of their innovative reverse muscle technology design, which increases the weight at the top of the club head thereby raising the center of gravity higher on the face, Kamoda said.
MSRP is $200 each for the RM-22 wedges, which are available at golf retailers, custom club fitters, and at fourteengolfonline.com. The RM-22 Tour RAW wedges are available at custom club makers and at fourteengolfonline.com for $290 each, MSRP.
Introduced in 2016, Fourteen Golf’s TF-616 is a single-piece forged iron designed for the player who enjoys the pure feel of forged but also is looking for forgiveness.
The TF-616 irons provide golfers with responsive feel and effortless launch by using a single material structure engineered with a deep undercut cavity, according to Kamoda. This special Fourteen Golf technology brings the greatest possible center-of-gravity depth to a soft forged iron, allowing for a reduction in loft that helps promote increased distance, he added.
A premier designer and manufacturer of high-quality golf clubs, Fourteen Golf has been part of 70 professional victories since 2010.
The fourteengolf.com website makes it possible for golf consumers to order customized clubs online. Fourteen Golf designs and manufactures drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters.
