ORLANDO, Fla. (July 31, 2017) – Renowned New York metropolitan-area instructor Jason Birnbaum, one of Golf Digest’s “Best Young Teachers in America” for 2016-’17, is scheduled to appear as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive on Wednesday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 5.
The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. ET on Wednesday and from 6-7 a.m. ET on Saturday.
Birnbaum, owner of Jason Birnbaum Golf, and Director of Instruction at Manhattan Woods Golf Club in West Nyack, N.Y., is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The Golf Fix and School of Golf; Birnbaum is making his second appearance on Morning Drive.
“I’m very excited to be on Morning Drive once again,” said Birnbaum, a staple of the “Best Young Teachers” list (Top Teachers Under 40) for the past six years. “It’s been a great experience to be a part of the Golf Channel Academy network of coaches. The quality and diversity of the team is something I’m very proud to be associated with.”
One of Golf Digest’s “Best Teachers” in the state of New York, Birnbaum has vast experience coaching all levels of golfers, from beginners to elite juniors to professionals on the PGA, European PGA and Web.com Tours. He has taught abroad in such countries as Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Italy and Mexico, and been recognized several times by U.S. Kids Golf as an Honorable Mention Top 50 Instructor. He currently owns and operates All Star Golf Camp, a sleep-away program located at the Seaview Resort in Galloway, N.J.
Some of Jason’s past and present students include Roberto Diaz, Jim McGovern, Oliver Wilson, Alexandre Rocha and Oscar Fraustro. Diaz competed in this year’s U.S. Open at Erin Hills as an alternate after Phil Mickelson withdrew.
