CARLSBAD, Calif. (July 31, 2017) – Nippon Shaft finished runner up Sunday (July 30) at both the PGA TOUR’s RBC Canadian Open and at the Ladies Scottish Open.
At Glen Abbey Golf Club outside Toronto, the 40-year-old native Californian finished at 21-under par with rounds of 68-66-65-68-267, using N.S.PRO MODUS3 Tour 105 X-flex steel shafts in his irons. He earned $648,000 and moved to 12th on the FedExCup points list.
Another player using Nippon Shaft in Canada finished T-5, using the N.S.PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 TX-flex steel shafts in his irons and the N.S.PRO MODUS3 125 Wedge shaft in his wedges.
Meanwhile, at the Dundonald Links in Scotland, LPGA Hall of Fame member Karrie Webb finished T-2 using the N.S.PRO MODUS3 Tour 105 S flex steel shafts in her irons, N.S.PRO MODUS3 Wedge 115 in her wedges and N.S. PRO Regio graphite shafts in her woods. The native Australian shot a 5-under par total with rounds of 65-75-70-73-283 and earned $104,559.
