PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) has named former LPGA winner Meaghan Francella as the organization’s Director of Golf and has promoted Jenna Boyce to Director of Golf Operations. Francella will lead EWGA’s Golf Programs team responsible for administering and executing the organization’s premier women’s golf events, including the EWGA Championship and EWGA Cup. Boyce will work directly with Francella to oversee all tournament operations for the EWGA, including the management of volunteers and golf-committee relationships across the EWGA’s 110 Chapters.
“I am excited about the evolution taking place within the EWGA and I am delighted to have Meaghan as part of our team,” said Jane Geddes, EWGA CEO. “Meaghan brings a vast array of experience to our organization from her days as an LPGA Tour player and winner and most recently from her Client Services role with Major League Baseball.”
A University of North Carolina graduate, Francella won 3 times and accumulated ten years of competitive experience competing worldwide on professional golf tours. In 2007, she recorded a victory in her second start of the season at the MasterCard Classic, defeating then-World No. 1 player Annika Sorenstam in a four-hole playoff. She produced another notable result when she defeated then-World No. 1 player Lorena Ochoa later that year at the HSBC Match Play Championship.
Most recently, Francella worked with Major League Baseball (MLB) where she was involved with campaign development and execution, including significant involvement with external agencies and internal departments within MLB including legal, design, social media, and technical production.
Boyce joined the EWGA in 2016 after accumulating extensive LPGA Tour and Symetra Tour tournament operations experience. Boyce graduated with her Master’s Degree in International Sport Management from SUNY Cortland, NY and London Metropolitan University, England in 2011.
Together, both Francella and Boyce are committed to growing participation in EWGA competitive events and creating unparalleled golf opportunities for EWGA Members of all abilities.
