In the evening, Phelps was joined by Masters Champion and fellow OMEGA ambassador, Sergio Garcia, as the two presented awards at the conclusion of this year-long event. The winning foursome was presented with the Aqua Terra 150M Omega Master Co-Axial 41.5 mm Golf Edition, trophies and custom-made golf bags featuring Garcia and Phelps, while the second and third place teams received special-edition OMEGA sailing bracelets with the PGA Championship logo etched on them, golf club head covers and other OMEGA items.
Thirty golfers from across the nation participated in the OMEGA Golf Trophy Finals today as part of their grand prize for winning a qualifying local tournament. The golfers will enjoy various hospitality events as part of OMEGA’s overall activation at the PGA Championship. At the completion of today’s round, Garcia and Phelps took photos with each player then presented the winning foursome with their championship awards.
“It’s been a lot of fun sharing a memorable experience with other amateur golfers who love the game of golf as much as I do,” said Phelps. “In speaking with a bunch of participants today, the first year of the OMEGA Golf Trophy has been a lot of fun and an overall success. As an OMEGA ambassador for more than a decade, the brand does a great job of creating wonderful experiences for their guests and ambassadors with professionalism and respect.”
“It’s great to see OMEGA’s involvement at such a high level in a Major Championship,” said Garcia. “I am proud to be part of the OMEGA family and supporting this year’s OMEGA Golf Trophy Finals together with the Olympic legend Michael Phelps.”
