MYRTLE BEACH, SC., August 15, 2017 – East Coast Golf Management (ECGM) has named Tom Plankers, PGA as its’ Director of New Business Development. In this role, Plankers will assume responsibility for ECGM’s national accounts and vendor programs, travel provider partner relationships, and cultivating new national business opportunities for ECGM. In addition, he will also support ECGM’s existing clients and operations team.
Prior to joining ECGM, Plankers served as Vice President of Founders Group International and has held executive leadership positions at World Tour Golf Links, Ocean Ridge Plantation, Sea Trail Golf Resort and the Bald Head Island Club. His 35 years of experience also include service on the Board of Directors of Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday and his tenure as President of the Myrtle Beach Arrea Golf Course Owners Association. An accomplished player and merchandiser, Plankers has won 11 Carolinas PGA events, received Merchandiser of the Year honors and his golf shops have received 5 selections to the Top 100 Golf Shops in the US.
