VA Composites, a recently launched premium composite shaft manufacturer based in Pinehurst, NC, recently announced Rich Beem, the 2002 PGA Champion, put the Raijin and soon to be released Prototype “SLAY” in his driver, fairway, and hybrid last week during the PGA Championship played in Charlotte, NC.
Armed with the new Callaway Epic 9 degree driver in combination with the Raijin 64 gram X flex, Mr. Beem hit it longer than any other shaft he has played for the last 2 years. “I might be out played this week, but I won’t be without the best shaft technology in the world,” said Rich Beem last week during the PGA Championship. In addition to the Raijin in his driver, he used the Raijin 64 – S flex in his Callaway Epic 3-wood and Raijin Hybrid 84 in his Callaway hybrid.
