(Jacksonville, FL) – Each week more and more Top Professionals from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour are choosing to put a Cure Putter into play. This past weekend, Jerry Kelly used a Cure CX1 putter to capture his first win on the PGA Tour Champions at the Boeing Classic, held at the Club at Snoqualmie Ridge in Snoqualmie, WA.
Kelly went wire-to-wire and set a tournament record at the Boeing Classic, shooting rounds of 65, 66, and a bogey-free 66 to finish -19 and clinch his first win on the Champions Tour circuit. Since putting a Cure CX1 in his bag, Kelly has seen his scoring average improve to 65.6 compared to his YTD average of 70.16. His putting stats improved as well, from a YTD avg. of 1.864 putts per GIR down to 1.594 putts per GIR with his Cure CX1 in play. His win earned him a paycheck for $315,000.00 and he climbed to the 11th spot on the Charles Schwab Cup Ranking.
“We’re thrilled to have Jerry Kelly rolling our CX1 putter and want to congratulate him on his first PGA Tour Champions win at the Boeing Classic,” said Jim McCarthy, CEO of Cure Putters. “Jerry’s a very talented player and we wish him continued success!”
Kelly birdied 4 of the last 7 holes at the Boeing Classic; shown here tapping in on 18 for the win.
