West Palm Beach, Fla. (August 31, 2017) – Greg Norman today announced he will join the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) September 27-28, 2017 as a featured panelist at the Golf Business TechCon in Las Vegas.
The NGCOA has designed a two-day event for golf course owners, operators and other industry professionals to spotlight some of the cutting-edge tools and tactics currently transforming golf course operations. Norman will speak on the closing session panel, “New Kids on the Block,” alongside other technology investors in the industry including Jeffrey Gerttula, CBS Sports Digital; Maury Gallagher, Allegiant Airlines; Andy Rhodes, USGA; and Lance Stover, PGA TOUR. This panel discussion will spotlight some of the people and companies who are making substantial investments in the industry, particularly in the technology space.
“Having recently partnered with Verizon to bring innovative and disruptive technology to the golf industry, I am thrilled to join a panel with other thought leaders who are making strides to change the game through innovation,” said Norman. “The NGCOA is an incredibly important organization to the game of golf and I am honored that they have invited me to participate in this event to speak directly to their constituency.”
TechCon will feature a host of sessions set up to help attendees leverage and maximize current technology. Attendees can expect a deep dive into social media strategy, the ins and outs of online presence, distribution channels and customer relationship management systems to create a connected course.
“We are grateful to have Greg Norman as part of our closing panel at TechCon,” said Jay Karen, NGCOA CEO. “The insights provided by Norman and his fellow panelists about the innovations in the golf industry technology space are sure to be an inspirational way to close out the event education.”
The 2017 NGCOA Golf Business TechCon will be held at the Aria Resort and Casino.
