CARLSBAD, Calif. (September 5, 2017) – Fifteen PGA TOUR players who use Nippon Shaft steel shafts in their irons, wedges or both have qualified to compete in the third leg of the FedExCup Playoffs as they move to Chicago next week for the BMW Championship.
Meanwhile, three players using Nippon Shaft products finished in the top 10 yesterday at the Dell Technologies Championship at TPC Boston in the season’s second playoff event.
The 33-year-old Australian finished third at 13-under par using the N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 130 X-flex in his irons and wedges. He earned $595,000 for the week.
The 40-year-old Englishman who now makes his home in the Phoenix area finished T-4 using the N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 TX-flex in his irons and wedges. He shot 12-under par with rounds of 70-65-67-70-272 and cashed a check for $385,000.
Meanwhile, tying for 10th was the 35-year-old former FedExCup champion from Charlotte who used the N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 105 X shafts to shoot 10-under 274 with rounds of 71-70-68-65 and earn $227,500.

Six players using Nippon Shaft products have won tournaments during the PGA TOUR’s 2016-17 season, including the Masters, for 20 total MODUS” wins globally this season.
