Two-day event October 14-15 set to crown top Orange County amateur
Dana Point, Calif. – Monarch Beach Golf Links is proud to announce it will host the 2017 Orange County Amateur, set to run Saturday, October 14 through Sunday, October 15. The tournament is set for an 11:30 am split tee time start on each day, with the field limited to the first 100 entrants with a valid 6.0 handicap or below.
“We are excited to serve as OC Amateur hosts for the second consecutive year,” said Eric Lohman, General Manager of Monarch Beach Golf Links. “We strive to give Southern California golfers the best overall golf experience possible, and hosting top regional amateurs for two days of exciting tournament golf is going to be great.”

Players participating in the 36-hole stroke play event will be treated to two rounds of golf with cart, box lunch, shirt, hat and lunch. Awards for Low Gross Amateur, Senior (55+), Junior (17 and below) and female. Atlas Premier Golf is a proud sponsor of this year’s tournament, and each player’s entry will include an Atlas Premier shirt, hat and ball marker, with a chance to earn Golf Shop credit as well.
Entry fee is $245, with practice rounds available for $75 by walk-in, or booking online two weeks in advance of the event. Practice rounds are available all day Monday through Wednesday, or after 12 pm on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
