(Jacksonville, FL) – Each week more and more Top Professionals from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour are choosing to put a Cure Putter into play. This past weekend, on the PGA’s Champions Tour, Jerry Kelly used a Cure CX1 putter to capture his second win on the PGA Tour Champions at the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship in Victoria, BC, Canada.
Kelly shot 65, 66 and then 68 on Sunday to come from one stroke behind and win. This is Kelly’s second win in his last three starts on the Champions Tour, with a T6 in between. This week’s win earned him a paycheck for $270,000.00 and as a result, Jerry moved up to 8th on the Charles Schwab Cup Ranking. Kelly commented, “I made a couple of good saves and a couple of good birdies at the end…confidence in my putter sets the stage!”
Since his recent switch to a Cure CX1 putter, Kelly has won twice and improved by 5.124 putts per green in regulation per tournament. He has shot in the 60’s all eleven rounds and is -58 under par during that stretch. “We’re thrilled to have Jerry Kelly rolling our CX1 putter and want to congratulate him again on his second PGA Tour Champions win at the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship,” said Jim McCarthy, CEO of Cure Putters. “Jerry’s a very talented player and a great ambassador for our brand. We’re very proud to be associated with him and wish him continued success!”
