(Jacksonville, FL) – Jerry Kelly’s last 14 rounds have all been in the 60’s; breaking Hale Irwin’s long-standing record of 13 rounds. These 14 rounds started the day Kelly put his new CURE CX1 putter in the bag, mid-event, at the 3M Championship. Kelly finished the 3M Championship with a 64 and a 67. In the next 4 weeks Kelly has had four top 6 finishes: two wins, a T6 and 2nd alone at the PURE Championship. Each week more and more Top Professionals from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour are choosing to put a Cure Putter into play.
Kelly has averaged 66.14 strokes per round in his last 14 record setting rounds; and improved by 5.00 putts per green in regulation per tournament. The last 14 rounds have moved Kelly to up to 6th on the Charles Schwab Cup Ranking. Jerry had this to say about his record, “I’m playing great and my Cure putter has been a game changer for me. Making a lot of birdies and some great par saves. I’m very excited about the next few weeks leading up to the Schwab Cup Championship!”
Since switching to his Cure Jerry is an astounding -72 under par during the historical stretch and has the next two weeks off before heading to the SAS Championship in Cary, NC. “We’re thrilled to have Jerry Kelly rolling our CX1 putter and want to congratulate him on setting this great record!” said Jim McCarthy, CEO of Cure Putters. “Jerry’s a very talented player and a great ambassador for our brand. We’re very proud to be associated with him and wish him continued success down the stretch as he goes after the Schwab Cup Championship!”
