Phoenix, AZ- Jane Spicer, CEO of Phoenix-based Daphne’s Headcovers, one of the Valley’s most successful golf businesses, participated this past weekend on the “Girls Power Panel” at “Girls Golf Day,” held at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix.
The Girls Golf Day, presented by the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix, Papago Golf Course, City of Phoenix and other local partners, was an ideal opportunity to empower young girls throughout the region. Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton issued an Official Proclamation declaring September 23, 2017, as GIRLS GOLF DAY.
CEO Spicer says, “I am proud to be one of the supporters for Girls Golf of Phoenix. This amazing organization empowers girls to have big dreams and gives them the confidence to do so. The mission speaks to my heart and can only benefit our community.”
The event commenced with a free morning clinic (These Girls Rock Clinic), followed by a midday press gathering and Girls Power Panel, which featured Spicer and other prominent women in golf. It was followed by a tournament coupled with music, food, and family fun throughout the balance of the day. Girls Golf Day has exceeded its participation goals and broken records every year since its inception in 2015.
