Philadelphia, Pa. (October 1, 2017) – The Putting Arc, the most widely used training aid by competitive golfers, strikes gold again as the MS-3D is named Product of the Month for October on the award-winning GolfTalk Live radio show.
The Putting Arc MS-3D allows golfers to use the toe or heel of their putter for a balanced putting stroke, and it works for both right and left-handed golfers. The MS-3D is placed on the green, with the back of the ball lined up with the center line of the Putting Arc. With a correct setup and arm and shoulder rotation, the putter will follow the curve of the Putting Arc with no hand, arm or shoulder manipulation, and the putter face will always be square to the arc. If the putter face starts lined up with the center line of the Putting Arc, the putter can travel in a perfect “arc” and the ball will start along the target line with a square clubface. The math behind the Putting Arc and the simplicity of the product are the reasons the company has been so successful for over 15 years, and this iteration, the MS-3D, is the most versatile Putting Arc yet.
“The Putting Arc is legendary, and has managed to remain the top choice for serious golfers on the practice green,” explains GolfTalk Live host, Tony Leodora. “I’ve covered competitive golf at all levels for a very long time. It never surprises me seeing all the different players on the green before their tee time being guided by the different versions of The Putting Arc.”
The Putting Arc MS-3D weighs only three pounds, and has the same elliptical curve as the Original wooden Deluxe Putting Arc, the smaller T3 and the yellow MSIII. This curve and the math behind it is the same for all of the Putting Arcs, and it is based on the 2,200-year-old math formulas of Apollonius of Perga. Over 1400 pro wins by more than 1400 touring and teaching pros have proven this math over the past 15 years.
“When the Putting Arc came out there were no high-speed cameras, doppler radar ball tracking devices, SAM Putt Lab, Trackman or Blast gyroscopic technology,” explains Dave Hamilton of The Putting Arc. “All of this new golf science has basically proven the math and theory of the Putting Arc, especially the Blast device.”
The newest model, the MS-3D has the important added features of a toe arc and an adjustable mirror. The toe arc allows the golfer to minimize the chance for an unwanted small radial force on the putter head due to a lot of reps while keeping the heel against the arc. By practicing equally with the heel and the toe arc, the golfer can balance his/her putting stroke. The adjustable mirror allows the golfer to monitor head or body movement and arm, shoulder, or eye alignment during the putting stroke. A quiet body is an essential component of a good putting stroke.
Hamilton continues: “In 2002, well over 90% of golfers believed that the putter should travel back and forth along the ball/target line and that the putter face should always be square to the line. The idea behind the Putting Arc was unique and different.”
The MS-3D is fully waterproof for wet or dewy greens, while the 33-inch usable length is the same as the Original Deluxe Putting Arc. This allows users to take their full putting stroke, and this is crucial for practicing short, medium and long-range putts. Special 3M anti-slip pads are attached to the bottom of the MS-3D so it will not move, even indoors on hardwood or tile floors. The MS-3D is colored black, while the MSIII and the T3 are both bright yellow. Either can be used along with the MS-3D to perform the excellent “Bridge Drill” as described in the video on the Putting Arc website.
On September 17, 2017, notable Putting Arc user and LPGA star Anna Nordqvist sunk putts from short, medium and long ranges on the back nine of the Evian Championship producing three birdies and an eagle. This forced a playoff against Brittany Altomare; Nordqvist was victorious. At the Web.com Tour’s Boise Open, two Putting Arc users won a return trip to the PGA Tour: Jonathan Randolph finished T2, while Alex Cejka finished fourth.
The Putting Arc MS-3D will be highlighted throughout the entire month of October on GolfTalk Live’s official website (www.GolfTalkLive.net), and on all social media channels of the show. It can be purchased for only $69.95 directly from www.ThePuttingArc.com.
