PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) has named Lauren Farrell as the organization’s first ever Vice President of Development. Farrell will lead the Association’s outreach to new and existing female players while simultaneously championing the role local EWGA chapters play in golf communities across the globe. With nearly 12,000 EWGA members in over 100 local chapters, Lauren’s appointment will help strengthen the Association’s position as the largest amateur women’s golf organization in the world.
“Lauren comes to the EWGA with a very impressive association management background,” said Jane Geddes, EWGA CEO. “We look forward to working with Lauren and drawing upon her vast professional knowledge to enhance both the EWGA Chapter and Member experiences.”
A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Farrell’s educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Non-Profit Management from Indiana State University and a Certified Association Executive (CAE) certificate from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
Lauren brings more than 17 years of membership and stakeholder marketing experience with organizations such as the American Sociological Association, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA), Laboratory Products Association and National Grocers Association. Uniquely, in her previous role as the Vice President of Stakeholder Relations for the Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association (HBA), Farrell was primarily responsible for expanding diversity and outreach to underrepresented women in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries.
“I look forward to joining Jane and the EWGA’s staff and volunteer leaders in their mission to connect women through golf,” commented Lauren. “We have an exciting opportunity to enhance the organization’s value proposition for our members and create a lasting impact for the Association and its hundreds of chapters.”
Lauren has spent most of her adult life as a new and beginning golfer. She looks forward to continuing her journey with the game and joining thousands of aspiring golfers at the EWGA.
