Falmouth, Mass. (October 4, 2017) – Following its first full season of being open for play, The Cape Club Resort in Falmouth, Mass. recently debuted at No. 13 in New England Golf Monthly’s Best in Golf Awards ranking of the top 25 “Best Public Courses” throughout New England.
The top 25 “Best Public Courses” rankings were determined through a New England Golf Monthly reader survey, industry expert input, staff picks and other national rankings. The Best in Golf Awards appeared in New England Golf Monthly’s August 2017 issue.
The Cape Club (formerly Ballymeade Country Club) opened for daily-fee play on August 3rd, 2016. The new golf course underwent an expansive transformation that included all new green complexes, expanded playing corridors, new/re-contoured fairways and more. In the 13-plus months since opening, the 18-hole course has been praised for its playability, scenic Cape Cod views, dramatic water features and beautiful Augusta white-sand bunkers.
“We’ve created a first-class, daily-fee golf destination that offers the quality and attention to detail of a private club,” said Ryan Payne, director of golf, The Cape Club. “We are honored to be selected by the readers of New England Golf Monthly as one of the top courses in the region. We will look to build upon this and improve in future rankings.”
The Cape Club Properties began in 2016 with the unveiling of The Cape Club by Troon in Falmouth. The beautiful property includes the highly-rated 18-hole championship golf course, the award-winning Cape Grille Steak & Seafood, and an amazing clubhouse with more than 20,000 square-feet of banquet space, groom and bridal suites, golf shop and meeting space. In 2017, Cape Club Properties acquired the former Spring Valley Country Club and rebranded it as the Cape Club of Sharon.
The Cape Club by Troon is located five miles from the Bourne Bridge, the gateway to the Cape, and is only a 45 minute ride from Boston, Mass. For more information on The Cape Club, visit www.capeclubresort.com or call (508) 540-4005.
