Top 50 instructors recognized from more than 1,700 LPGA professionals worldwide
ALBANY, N.Y. – The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Teaching and Club Professionals (T&CP) membership announced the launch of an annual recognition of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional’s Top 50 LPGA Teachers, presented in partnership with Women’s Golf Journal. Kay McMahon, LPGA Hall of Fame Teaching Professional, PGA Member and President of eduKaytion Golf, has been recognized as one of the 50 Best LPGA Teachers.
“The LPGA is excited to partner with Women’s Golf Journal on this annual recognition,” said LPGA Chief Teaching Officer, Nancy Henderson. “More than 70 percent of our members teach the game of golf for a living and they are dedicated to the advancement of golf through teaching golfers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game of golf.”
McMahon has been an active member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals since 1979 and has been teaching golf for more than 30 years. A native of Minnesota, McMahon taught in Palm Springs for 23 years at Ironwood Country Club and the Lakes Country Club. She established and successfully operates eduKaytion Golf based in Albany, N.Y., and Orlando, Fla. She is the creator and innovator of Golf 8.5 – a simple approach to learning and improving your golf swing. Golf 8.5 identifies and teaches golfers 8.5 steps to a classic, repeatable swing. McMahon has received numerous awards and accolades during her distinguished teaching career and is a past National President of the LPGA T&CP.
“It is my mission and passion to simplify the way we teach golf and to grow more golfers by accelerating the learning process for developing a classic swing that can be immediately and successfully taken to the golf course,” said McMahon. “I am honored to be part of this talented group of golf professionals and thank the LPGA and Women’s Golf Journal.”
This new “50 Best” initiative identified and recognized the best LPGA instructors from more than 1,700 LPGA certified professionals worldwide.
“The depth of teaching expertise in the LPGA is astounding,” said Women’s Golf Journal Publisher Matthew Squire. “We’re honored and delighted that these incredible women are finally beginning to receive the recognition and the credit they so richly deserve.”
