The Golden Horseshoe’s three courses include the recently renovated Gold Course. A perennial Golf Digest Top 100, the Gold-originally designed in 1963 by Robert Trent Jones Sr.-re-opened in July following a restoration directed by his son, “The Open Doctor,” golf course architect Rees Jones.
Golden Horseshoe claims the first side-by-side, father-son-designed layout with the Green Course, which Rees Jones designed in 1991. The Spotswood Course, a classic short course layout, also designed by Trent Jones Sr., is perfect for quick rounds, family play or settling friendly wagers with your group.
All guests at Colonial Williamsburg Hotels also are entitled to discounts at official Colonial Williamsburg exhibits and museums.
