Modern golf brand builds on foundation of innovation and social responsibility

with engaging retail experience that develops direct relationship with golfers

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – STATE APPAREL announced today the opening of it’s first retail location on historic Fillmore Street, in the heart of the Cow Hollow/Marina District of San Francisco. In the style of an urban neighborhood boutique, the retail location is an Urban Clubhouse experience where STATE APPAREL engages and develops a direct relationship with golfers through complimentary speaker events with prominent golf personalities, indoor driving range with launch monitor, beverages and food, vintage Masters Tournament viewing, and more.

“In creating our first space, we definitely wanted to offer more than just clothing on racks like every other golf store. We wanted to create a new and unique experience that puts the golfer first, so we conceived the Urban Clubhouse concept as a home for golfers away from the course. It’s a hub that can support and service a vibrant and diverse community of like-minded golfers who want more from the game of golf and the gear they use,” said Jason Yip, Founder and CEO of STATE APPAREL. “With the closure of big box golf retail stores like Golfsmith, our Urban Clubhouse is the only golf retail in San Francisco.”

The retail location showcases STATE APPAREL’s uniquely functional golf clothing made in San Francisco. The garments, striking in their design and simplicity, bring a Northern California style to the golf course. The retail location also carries a selection of products from other local companies that uniquely address the needs of urban golfers.

On November 1, 2017, STATE APPAREL’s Urban Clubhouse will host its first event, a panel discussion on golf course architecture, featuring Bo Links, Geoff Shackelford, Jay Blasi, and moderated by Andy Johnson of The Fried Egg blog. Free event registration and details here:
