Greg Robison replaces the retiring David Woodham, who had been with Yamaha for 17 years. Robison most recently served for 10 years as Yamaha’s regional manager – direct sales for the 10-state Western U.S. territory, the role that Stewart now takes on.
Robison previously spent nine years as Yamaha’s district sales manager for the Tennessee and northern Mississippi territory. Prior to that he served as an assistant general manager, and then as first-assistant golf professional at The Country Club at Muirfield Village, in Dublin, Ohio.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Robison earned a bachelor’s degree in education and sports management from Bowling Green State University. He was also instrumental in setting up the basketball and golf boosters program for Summit High School in Spring Hill, Tenn., where he served as president of the boosters club for three years. He lives near Nashville with his wife and three children.
David Stewart joined Yamaha in 2008 as district sales manager for the south Texas/New Mexico territory. Prior to that he was the director of golf for Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla., for four years, and previously the director of golf at the Traditions Golf Club in Edmond, Okla., for three years.
Stewart is a graduate of Cameron University in Lawton, Okla., with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He is a volunteer hockey coach for the San Antonio Jr. Rampage team and an instructor for junior golf programs in San Antonio, Texas, where he lives with his wife, Heather, a Canadian PGA professional, and their son, Payne.
“It is certainly rewarding to be able to promote skilled and tenured professionals like Greg Robison and David Stewart to senior sales management positions. We know they will both continue the considerable achievements they’ve demonstrated with the company.” said Yamaha President Tom McDonald.
McDonald added that, “We would also like to extend our appreciation to David Woodham, who has been instrumental in the growth and positive positioning of the Yamaha Golf Car brand for nearly two decades. We wish him all the best in his retirement.”
