Young rising star’s player channel To debut soon
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (November 14, 2017) – Patton Kizzire come on down! Less than a month after watching fellow Team Secret Golf staffer Pat Perez win on the PGA Tour in Malaysia at the CIMB Classic, young, Patton Kizzire, a young, up-and-coming professional from Montgomery, Ala., claimed his first PGA Tour career title in Mexico, outlasting Rickie Fowler at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba.
For the lanky Kizzire, a former Web.com Tour Player of the Year, his initial triumph on the PGA Tour came after a strong start to the 2018 season and was a result of confidence and determination built on high finishes over the last three weeks. After recording a T10 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, the former Auburn University standout, registered a T4 performance at the Shriners Hospitals For Children Open in Las Vegas, just prior to making the trip to Mexico.
“I have a lot more experience now. Experience is huge. You can’t replace it,” Kizzire said after win-ning. “I’ve been in contention several times and have been able to have good tournaments. I’ve built on all of those good finishes and was able to overcome a lot of adversity and overcome a charging Rick-ie Fowler and get it done and it feels really good.”
Kizzire’s win at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba was the second consecutive at this event by a member of Team Secret Golf. Last year, Perez won the OHL Classic at Mayakoba and his victory near Cancun catapulted him to his finest season ever on the PGA Tour.
Golf fans will want to look for Kizzire’s private Player Channel, set to debut soon on secretgolf.com. Secret-Golf.com features some of the game’s best personalities, each giving their unique perspective on golf in their own style. Team Secret Golf, in addition to Kizzire and Perez, includes former major champions Jackie Burke, Steve Elkington, Brittany Lang and Stacy Lewis, and now has claimed 114 tournaments collectively on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and Web.com Tour.
“Patton was very confident heading into Sunday. I predicted he was going to win the tournament and I’m glad for him,” said Elkington, the co-founder of Secret Golf. “Golf fans of all ages are going to love his Player Channel. When we filmed it, I realized why he had so much success on the Web.com Tour. He’s organized and intently focused as well as being the best putter I’ve seen since Ben Crenshaw.”
