LINDON, UT – foreUP today announced that they will be collaborating with Apparation Golf and Tee Times Magazine to power GroupLooper® Booking, the golf industry’s first open book-ing platform. GroupLooper® provides a more cost-effective way for golf course operators to offer nomadic golfers a convenient way to book tee times.
GroupLooper® Booking, which is powered by the cloud-based foreUP golf business software, rewrites the rules for tee time booking portals by providing golfers with the freedom to find and book tee times anywhere they want to play. Booking can be done from the portal directly, or-if no direct connection exists-by transferring the golfer to the golf course’s website.
The platform also enables any golf marketing organization to provide a branded booking expe-rience to its followers.
foreUP, the pioneer of cloud-based tee time and golf course management software, is the first to enable courses using their platform to connect their tee sheet systems directly to GroupLooper® Booking for quick, convenient, cost-effective booking transactions. Tee Times Magazine was the first marketer to offer GroupLooper® Booking to its customer base of Upper Midwest golfers.
“foreUP has shown great foresight by being the first tee sheet software provider to offer an open set of APIs that enable its customers to quickly and easily participate in initiatives like GroupLooper® Booking,” says Mike Dickoff, Founder of Apparation LLC, the developer of GroupLooper®. “Their API policies put golf course operators in the driver’s seat on decisions regarding the marketing partners that they choose to work with.”
“GroupLooper® Booking is a great example of why we have an open API policy,” says Joel Ragar, Co-Founder and CEO of foreUP. “Golf course operators can participate in a marketing platform that leaves them in complete control of their pricing policies, which is also convenient for customers. Golf courses that choose to participate can be up and running in minutes.”
“We’ve been wanting to offer a tee time booking capability to our readers for a long time,” says Steve Wetzler, publisher of Tee Times Magazine. “Now we can offer a service that makes it easy for customers to book wherever they want to play, and allows golf courses to extend their marketing reach at a very modest cost.”
“We appreciate the pioneering efforts of innovative partners like foreUP and Tee Times Maga-zine,” says Dickoff. “We’ll be announcing other GroupLooper® Booking tee sheet connections and marketing partners in the coming months.”
