(RESTON, VA) – Billy Casper Golf (BCG) – the cutting-edge manager of golf courses, country clubs and resorts – has been selected by the Greenville City Council to manage golf operations for Bradford Creek Public Golf Course in Greenville, N.C.
BCG was chosen as a strategic management partner to oversee golf operations at Bradford Creek. Selected for its strong marketing program and innovative overall approach, BCG will begin management on January 1, 2018.
“As Greenville’s only public golf course, Bradford Creek holds an important place in our community,” says Dean Foy, Greenville Parks Superintendent. “Partnering with Billy Casper Golf allows us to operate much more efficiently, ensuring residents can enjoy our beautiful course for years to come.”
Bradford Creek was set up as an enterprise fund when the City of Greenville purchased it in 1999, soon after flooding from Hurricane Floyd. Revenue shortfalls at the course have long been a concern for the city.
BCG will guide golf course maintenance, marketing, sales, staffing and training, merchandising, food and beverage, golf instruction and financial management for Bradford Creek’s 18-hole course. Operations will be locally-managed by a professional golf and agronomic team, and supported by both a regional and national team that provide expert guidance and direction in all facets of the business. BCG also manages Harbour Pointe Golf Club an hour south in New Bern, N.C.
In addition to overseeing equipment and capital improvements, BCG will also implement new programming and events to ensure that every member and guest has a fun and enjoyable golf experience every time they play.
