Golden Horseshoe’s Gold and Green courses packaged with lodging, breakfast
Williamsburg, VA (Dec. 19, 2017) – Colonial Williamsburg’s Golden Horseshoe Golf Club announces two new golf packages for the 2018 season offering a wonderful stay at one of seven resort hotels and options for golf at the recently restored Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed Gold Course, the adjacent Green Course by Rees Jones, and the always enjoyable Spotswood short course.
The Gold Golf Package includes one round on Rees Jones’ 2017 restoration of his father’s Gold Course layout for each night’s stay in any one of Colonial Williamsburg’s seven hotel options. This package includes greens and cart fees, range balls, personalized Golden Horseshoe bag tag, and complimentary greens fee on the Golden Horseshoe Spotswood Course. Continental breakfast is included with stays at The Woodlands Hotel and Suites, Governors Inn, and Griffin Hotel. Rates vary by season and hotel selection starting from $121 per person per night based on double occupancy at the most popular option, The Woodlands Hotel and Suites.
The Freedom Golf Package includes one round on the Green Course with each night’s stay in any Colonial Williamsburg hotel. Guests can upgrade to the Gold Course for $20-$75 per round depending on season. Packages include greens and cart fees, range balls, and a daily continental breakfast with stay at The Woodlands Hotel and Suites, Governors Inn, and Griffin Hotel. Rates vary by season and hotel selection starting from $97 per person per night based on double occupancy at the most popular option, The Woodlands Hotel and Suites.

The 2016-17 renovation of Robert Trent Jones Sr.’s original 1963 design was directed by his son, Rees, known as the “Open Doctor” for his expert renovations of many U.S. Open courses.
