CARLSBAD, CA, January 2, 2018- eGull, Inc., developer of the eGull Pay App, announced today the line-up for an exciting Education Session at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show on Thursday, January 25th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Entitled: Time is Priceless. Learn how to grow the Game and Revenues one hole at a time, the session promises to be both entertaining and informative.
Alongside eGull, Inc. CEO and long-time industry executive Pascal Stolz, attendees will learn from the Head of Marketing of the European PGA Tour and their GolfSixes Program as well as the CEO of Blue Green, the largest golf course operator in Europe.
“We recently released our innovative new GPS based technology, eGull Pay, on the USA iOS and Android app stores to give golfers the freedom to Play and Pay by the Hole,” said Pascal Stolz, CEO, eGull, Inc. “This technology addresses challenges golf course operators have experienced for a very long time: how to fill up off-peak inventory and bring to the course both millennials and golfers pressed by time. During our Education Session at the PGA Show, we will discuss time issues in golf and how creating flexibility and ingenuity to adapt golf to fit into modern lifestyle helps grow rounds and revenues and drive participation in the game.”
Tim Hunt, Head of Marketing at the European Tour, who was instrumental in the roll out of the European Tour GolfSixes program, will provide a sneak peek of the 2018 season and the strategic plans to expand GolfSixes beyond the professional circuit. Tim hinted “the European Tour is striving to broaden the appeal of golf and make it accessible and relevant in an increasingly crowded marketplace within sports.”
Manuel Biota, CEO of Blue Green, will share why they elected to be the first worldwide deployment of Play and Pay by the Hole providing specific examples of how the new technology has helped grow rounds and revenues. “The innovative ‘Play and Pay by the Hole’ App is an exciting development which is highly relevant to the future of golf. During our short experience since last summer we are re-welcoming golfers we haven’t seen in a long time who come to play about 7 holes in slightly over an hour which is all the time they can afford” shared Biota.
Free to course operators and free to the golfer, the eGull Pay App is a simple add-on to any tee-sheet. The course is in control to set the hours open for play and the course sets the price per hole. Golfers check in at the pro-shop and the app does the rest. eGull Pay is the Uber of Golf tracking the holes golfers played via GPS and charging their credit card when they are done. Course operators can now more easily fill unused inventory without having to discount it while attracting busy executives, millennials, women and new players.
“We invite golf course operators, PGA professionals, PGA Section representatives and media to stop by our booth #579 and attend our Education Session to learn how to help grow participation in the game of golf while optimizing not only the total number of holes played but also total revenue on any given day,” added Stolz.
