Cosmic driving range demo nights to be held Wed., Jan 24 and Thurs., Jan. 25 at Marriott Golf Academy at Grande Vista Resort, 6:30-9:30 pm
ORLANDO, FL – GlowGear Interactive lighting will launch its Gen2 wireless targeting system for driving ranges and golf courses at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show, January 23-26, with two nights of “Cosmic Driving Demos” at the Marriott Learning Center at Grand Vista Resort. The two night event will take place Wednesday January 24 and Thursday January 25 from 6:30-9:30 pm.
The Gen2 system is designed to retrofit existing ranges with large topographical targets that respond with light and sound when hit with a golf ball. The Gen2 system also works seamlessly with all forms of wireless scoring systems like Toptracer, Trackman or Flightscope for a complete ‘tee box to target’ experience unmatched by just kiosk scoring alone. It’s a turn-key, affordable and mobile “TopGolf” experience that can be used for events or permanently installed to drive new revenue for any private or public facility.
“Our system was designed to remedy the key challenges of the golf industry,” said Rob
Peterson, President of GlowGear Interactive. “Since 90% of us work, the Gen2 system
affordably opens up the night to millennials, women and non-golfers with a big, bright, interactive golf gaming experience that is more engaging, fun and easy so players experience success on their first try.”
The patent pending Gen2 system is modular and wireless, with two grades of optical vinyl and nylon for permanent, seasonal and event driven uses. Targets come in 15 to 40ft in diameter and are customizable to style. Inside each target are powerful “Smartcore” lights in a mesh network, powered by durable lithium batteries and controlled wirelessly by the clubhouse computer.
“The Gen2 system is completely self contained, with no field wires or power cabling to install or to get caught up in pickers and mowers,” explained Peterson. “This makes installation nearly instant so facilities can install on a Monday and be generating revenue by Wednesday. Now any golf facility can capitalize on this hot new trend of interactive target golf.”
GlowGear Interactive is the mobile gaming solution. Day or night, field feedback is everything. The Gen2 system allows for daytime ‘teaching with targets’ where players can hear when they hit a target. At night, Gen2 provides an array of customizable sounds and colors controlled right from the clubhouse.
Golf facilities can now monetize the driving range with event sales to corporate meetings, team building, charity fundraising and party events. GlowGear Interactive provides all the turn-key interactive elements, special skills and competitions like Hit The Drone, Car Bubble Shootout,
Tic Tac Toe, Flop Shot Limbo, Cosmic Long Drive, Cosmic Putting and more.
With big field targeting and interaction, small to mid-sized facilities can now attract a wider audience and new golfers with evening gaming once only attainable by the likes of TopGolf and Drive Time entertainment complexes.
“Turn off your lights and turn on your targets,” said Peterson. “GlowGear Interactive will turn on more customers and revenues at any golf course or driving range and that’s critical for the growth of the game.”
