Cherry Island and Ancil Hoffman give golfers another way to play

Quick.golf proudly welcomes Cherry Island Golf Course and Ancil Hoffman Golf Course as the newest members of the Quick.golf pay-by-hole web app.

The two Sacramento County (CA) golf courses are operated in a cooperative effort by the County and Empire Golf Inc.

“We talked with golf course architect Damian Pascuzzo, of Pascuzzo/Pate Golf Design, about reconfiguring our courses to allow people to play shorter loops. Damian suggested we look at Quick.golf instead – a way to let golfers play and pay by the hole without the expense of redesigning our courses”, says Greg Bliek, Superintendent of Golf for Sacramento County. “I got an enthusiastic buy-in from Rod Metzler at Empire Golf, and we both think it makes sense to give golfers a way to play the game and pay by the hole when their time permits.”

“There is no doubt that golf is struggling with changes in our culture and lifestyles,” says Rod Metzler, CEO of Empire Golf in Rancho Murieta, CA. “We’re excited to work with the County and Quick.golf to give golfers a new way to play and enjoy this great game in a way that removes “lack of time” from the decision factor of whether to play or not.”

“Sacramento is a great golf market,” says Quick.golf co-founder Harvey Silverman. “We look forward to working with Greg and Rod and their staffs to make Quick.golf a successful alternative. Sacramento County golfers will now have the ability to play and pay by the hole.”

About Quick.golf LLC: Quick.golf is golf’s contribution to the convenience revolution pioneered by services like Open Table and Uber. Pay-by-hole golf is not new, but using technology to pair golfers who don’t have enough time to play a full round with golf courses that offer pay-by-hole makes it a viable way for many courses to promote and generate incremental revenue. Our web app is easy to implement and manage and is finding its way to both advanced-thinking course operators, and to golfers whose lifestyles demand an alternative to play the game.
