ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 10, 2018) – Top PGA teaching professional Todd Casabella, recently named one of Golf Digest’s “Best Teachers” in the state of Ohio (No. 9), is scheduled to appear as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive today and Saturday, Jan. 13.
The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. ET today, and from 9:30 -11:30 a.m. ET on Saturday.
Casabella, the director of instruction at Barrington Golf Club in Aurora, Ohio-just outside of Cleveland-is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including Morning Drive and School of Golf; Casabella is making his first appearance on Morning Drive.
“I’m tremendously excited to be appearing on Morning Drive,” said Casabella, the 2017 Northern Ohio PGA Teacher of the Year. “I can’t think of a better way to start the new year, and I look forward to helping the viewers at home with their games so that they can start out 2018 strong as well.”
Casabella became a member of the Professional Golfers Association in 2000 and has held the position of Head Golf Professional at three different facilities. He was the Lead Instructor for Golf Digest Schools at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Fla., before joining the staff of the Mike Bender Golf Academy just outside of Orlando. There, he oversaw the Post Graduate/Tour Prep program, assisting fellow Golf Channel Academy lead coach and Golf Digest Top 10 Teacher Mike Bender.
