TPT Golf is proud to announce the official launch of its 15-LKP-LT-LW, the shaft that was used to claim three professional victories this fall: the WGC-HSBC Champions in China, the Turkish Airlines Open (European Tour) and the Indonesian Masters (Asian Tour).
The 15-LKP-LT-LW joins TPT Golf’s 15 Series, shafts that are designed to meet the needs of high-speed golfers. Within the 15 Series, the 15-LKP-LT-LW offers the lightest weight (63 grams). It is also the lowest-torque shaft in the entire TPT Golf lineup.
Like TPT Golf’s 10 other shaft designs, the 15-LKP-LT-LW has a perfectly concentric, seamless design. This is the direct result of TPT Golf’s fully automated manufacturing process called “Thin-Ply Winding,” which gives TPT Golf the ability to independently tweak each shaft design parameter. This revolutionary, robot-driven process ensures unrivaled consistency and unlocks superior performance for golfers of all abilities. Unlike other shaft manufacturing processes, the patent-pending Thin-Ply Winding Method enables TPT Golf to create shafts that are exactly the same time after time.
“Every product we create at TPT Golf is on the cutting edge,” said TPT Golf Technical Director Jeff Meyer. “Our design and manufacturing processes give us a huge advantage over standard industry methodologies. The 15-LKP-LT-LW is a product that was developed to meet the needs of the best golfers in the world.”
With the 15-LKP-LT-LW, LT stands for “Low Torque” while LW stands for “Light Weight.” These specific characteristics are enabled through the unmatched precision of the Thin-Ply Technology, as well as the use of a higher-modulus carbon fiber material that offers the lower-torque performance certain high-speed golfers need to achieve their full potential.
“With the Thin-Ply Winding Method, we have an infinite design window to achieve any design parameter,” Meyer added. “We can achieve virtually any bend profile that we need to fit any golfer.”
The 15-LKP-LT-LW ($700) will officially debut at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. It will be available for purchase through TPT Golf’s worldwide network of authorized fitting locations later this month.
