TGA Golf Franchises from New Jersey, Oregon, Florida, Idaho, Arizona, and Texas are honored
Los Angeles, CA – TGA Premier Golf, the leading introductory junior golf program and the only youth sports franchise company dedicated to the sport of golf, honored six of its chapters recently at the annual TGA Premier Sports Franchise Summit.
The Summit, held in Palm Springs (Dec. 9-13), was an opportunity for TGA (Teach Grow Achieve) chapters across the country to come together and collaborate on community efforts to grow golf, and learn from each other’s successes over the past year. The Summit culminated with the recognition of high-achieving franchises/chapters, area directors and coaches.
The six award winners are each known for their dedication to youth golf, and have built teams that strive to provide high quality introductory golf instruction in a fun, and engaging environment. These awards are a nod to the individuals who go beyond their duty of impacting the local communities in which they live, and their dedication to growing the game of golf.
Jeremiah Palidino left the business world and decided to jump head first into something he could pour his soul into. He found his passion in TGA and hasn’t looked back since. Jeremiah is the Southern Oregon Chapter Director, and took home the Lee Warner award for the franchise owner who has embraced the TGA brand, collaborated with and supported peers, delivered exceptional standards in the work they deliver and/or innovations to improve the brand.
Unlike Palidino, Kevin Rooney (Director TGA Bergen County) in New Jersey started his TGA dream right out of college. Rooney was passionate about golf and saw an opportunity to pair his love of golf, with his education background in Business. Kevin earned the Joe Hollday Award given to the franchise owner with the highest revenue from Q3+Q4 of the previous year to Q1+Q2 of the current year.
A major reason for TGA’s success is credited to the tireless work of its golf coaches in each chapter across the country. For this reason the Golf Coach of the Year Award was presented to Craig Summey of TGA Orlando for elevating the brand with TGA spirit.
Every year throughout the hundreds of TGA programs being conducted there are countless stories being told of inspiration, and intrigue. This year the Story of the Year Award for the best public relations story went to Burke Noonan (Director TGA of East Phoenix) for his use of local media to attract students, families, and high-quality coaching candidates with a TGA spirit.
Each of the individuals recognized has given countless hours to help curate a thriving local community through sport and education. No one more so than Todd Loveland (Director TGA of Boise) who received the Hope Warner Award, for the franchise owner who has impacted their local community the most. Finally, Mike Baker (Director TGA of North Houston) won the Rookie of the Year Award for the new franchise owner from the past calendar year who has embraced the TGA culture.
TGA’s youth sports golf model has introduced over 650,000 youth (ages 5-13) to the sport to date serving more than 3,400 schools nationwide. TGA’s innovative program solves the primary barriers to entry into golf by delivering introductory programs directly at schools and community centers through before- or after-school enrichment programs. The self-sustaining, no funding needed business model puts golf on a level playing field with other mainstream sports and creates a healthier and safer environment for students to be introduced to and learn golf.
The program can also be utilized anywhere on school campuses regardless of weather, including gymnasiums, hallways, cafeterias, fields and blacktops allowing for year round programs. What truly differentiates TGA is the station-based curriculum that includes golf skill progression, education subjects, and STEAM Labs, as well as physical fitness and health components.
