Indoor golf technology innovator, leading golf PR firm come together to promote new experience and future expansion
Santa Ana, CA – NextLinks, the developer of the latest innovative indoor golf technology experience for consumers, has engaged Fusion Media Strategies (Fusion Media), one of the leading public relations and marketing firms in the golf industry, to guide them through promoting the unique golf experience and expansion.
Fusion Media will utilize its long-standing relationships within the golf media and industry to promote and expose golfers and consumers nationwide to the NextLinks experience, as well as help build the NextLinks brand as the premier multi-dimensional indoor golf alternative.
Fully aware of golf’s long-bemoaned barriers to entry and growth – time, cost, difficulty and intimidation – David Shultz, a veteran technologist and former General Electric engineer, developed NextLinks as a multi-dimensional indoor golf alternative that can be implemented at a wide variety of entertainment venues.
The NextLinks golf experience is driven by proprietary software that seamlessly blends golf simulator play with realistic short game shots and putting on expertly-designed putting greens. Using patent-pending Pinpoint Spotlight Technology each player’s position in the simulator game is tracked. It allows them to play and putt out from a spot designated by a colored laser mark being displayed on or near the green.
“The downside to playing golf on a simulator has always been that the short game and putting experiences haven’t played like real golf,” said Shultz, NextLink’s CEO. “We’ve solved that by having beautifully-designed synthetic turf greens that you can chip and putt on in realistic shot conditions.”
The dynamic “Spotlight” system not only allows seasoned golfers a more realistic, immersive golfing experience, it can also guide beginners and non-golfers through a plethora of more fun-based games.
“Picture popular target-practice games like corn hole, darts or horseshoes. We have golf versions of those that introduce patrons to golf in an unintimidating, entertaining way,” Shultz said. “The system also has golf instruction applications and competitive games that make the surrounding venue very versatile. The spotlight system controls the traffic on the green, so the same space can function as the ultimate golf training facility or the hottest nightclub in town.”
NextLinks is a scalable concept, meaning venue owners with 850 square-feet of space up to 100,000 can license this unique golf entertainment platform. The first NextLinks facility has opened in Santa Ana, Calif., along with a major project underway at the Indian Wells Resort in Palm Springs, Calif., utilizing the revolutionary high-tech putting experience with real green complexes. The first venue outside of California will debut Spring 2018 at Safeco Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Seattle Mariners. More facility openings, including at golf courses, resorts, casinos and other entertainment venues will be announced in the coming months.
About NextLinks
In the Spring of 2015, David Shultz, a veteran technologist, followed his passion for golf and began working to realize his vision for NextLinks and REALiTEE Golf, immersive golf experiences designed to make golf accessible to beginners as well as seasoned golfers.
Shultz spent more than two decades as an electrical engineer and operations executive at General Electric. As an aviation electronics technician in the United States Navy, Shultz discovered a knack for problem solving on the avionics systems of A-6 and F/A-18 aircrafts. The seasoned technologist was also a key team member on the Boeing 787 development project while at General Electric.
NextLinks is a fully scalable business opportunity designed to offer a fun alternative golf experience. Using proprietary software that seamlessly blends golf simulator play with realistic short game play and putting on expertly-designed putting greens, NextLinks revolutionizes indoor golf for participants of any skill level.
