ORLANDO (Jan. 18, 2018) -A new media reception and a slightly revised ClubING setup await members of the International Network of Golf at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando next week.
The ING Hospitality Room will be in Room 309A/B in the Orange County Convention Center Jan. 24-26, and will feature a full slate of events. The not-for-profit International Network of Golf, golf’s only media-based networking organization, is “Where Media and the Golf Industry Connect.”
Also this year, ING is teaming with PGA Golf Exhibitions to bring back the popular Media Reception on Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. The event, open to all media covering the PGA Show, will take place in and around Room 312 in the Media Center.
The Media Reception Presented by PGA Golf Exhibitions and ING will include 11 tabletop displays from PGA Show exhibitors. The list includes Chippo, Corkcicle, FLUS Golf, Coach Lab/Gen i1, Golf Beer Mug, GlowGear Interactive, Golf Pride, Knuth Golf, Nexbelt, Copper Tech and Popticals. There will also be plenty of giveaways.
ClubING will feature smaller roundtables to enhance privacy for member meetings. The ClubING schedule in Room 309A/B includes two annual awards presentations.
The 24th Annual ING Media Awards Presentation Press Conference is set for Wednesday at 4:45 pm, honoring outstanding work in 12 categories. Damon Hack of Golf Channel will serve as master of ceremonies.
The 24th Annual ING Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference will be Thursday at 12:30 p.m., recognizing achievement in the golf industry in 12 categories.
CHASE54, Knuth Golf, Nexbelt and Wilson Golf are among the companies that have taken sponsorship roles in 309A/B. CHASE54 will display new offerings in its creative apparel line. Knuth Golf will be launching new technology – High Heat 257+ in its High Heat line of fairway metalwoods. Wilson and Nexbelt will be presenting prizes to ING Media Award winners along with CHASE54.
The ClubING schedule includes:
• Coffee each morning from 8 to 10:30.
• Media Awards Wednesday, 4:45 to 5:15.
• Media Reception Wednesday, Room 312 (MEDIA ONLY), 5:30 to 6:30.
• ING Industry Honors Presentation, Thursday, 12:30.
• ING Happy Hour for members and guests Thursday at 5 pm.
Also from the ClubING room, ING will provide details about its 28th Annual ING Spring Conference, scheduled for May 20-23 at the IP Casino Resort & Spa in Biloxi, MS. The conference includes various networking sessions, the One-On-One Appointment Show, a Demo Day, ING Talks, educational seminars and golf tournaments. Members of the golf industry and golf media are invited to attend.
