The Oxford men’s sportswear collection reimagines classic menswear with casual versatility. Wardrobe staples are updated with upscale materials for a modern sophistication. Silhouettes are designed with utmost functionality and details that create trans-seasonal wearability. Thanks to its rich history in golf and lifestyle apparel, Oxford finds itself uniquely positioned to deliver contemporary sportswear and footwear with cutting edge technologies to today’s evolving market.
For Fall 2018, Oxford concentrates on performance fabrics and details in every product category. Moisture management, easy care and warmth are integrated into a collection of focused sportswear items that can be worn on their own, or layered from top to bottom.
Some key pieces in the collection include:
• Oxford is known for its use of premium performance technology in polos utilizing either drirelease® or COOLMAX®. New this season is the incorporation of drirelease in jacquard knits, as in the Myers Performance Polo. This polo features a tonal mini jacquard pattern with a self-collar offered in three color combinations. The style includes all of the same great drirelease performance abilities that the Oxford customers have come to expect – moisture wicking, fast drying and permanent performance. Another standout style from the performance polo category is the new Albright Performance Polo, a COOLMAX/Spandex jersey stripe that has striking fall heather colors in the ground. This key style focuses on an important trend of heather colors that continues for this season.
• The Winfall Polo features long sleeves and a full button front. This style is designed to move with you like a knit, but in a woven shirt styling. The fabric is a natural performance blend of cotton and wool oxford pique with a brushed finish for a soft hand feel. The wool naturally wicks and keeps the body comfortable as it reacts to the changes in temperature. The Winfall is offered in four colors.
• Oxford has woven shirts for every occasion whether at the office, casual weekend events or on the golf course. There is a new range of the Howell performance woven shirts. With its proprietary construction, this fabric and styling continues to be a big hit. Easy care, comfort and moisture wicking make this the go-to shirt every day of the week. For the cooler days there are some new fabrics offered in the Glenwood. The spread collar styling is modern and looks great on this range of textural herringbone plaids and brushed flannel fabrics.
• Melange looks are carried throughout the line with the introduction of new layering pieces. The Oakdale is a COOLMAX/Cotton/Spandex heather pique double knit ¼ zip pullover. This is Oxford’s new go-to layering piece for fall. It will keep you warm, but offers great comfort and superior moisture management with the inclusion of COOLMAX. The style features a yarn dye end-on-end stripe rib trim along with a button flap functional pocket on the chest. As a follow-up to the hugely successful introduction of the Linden pullover, there is a new expanded color palette offered in this style that continues to be a great look on and off the course. The lightweight quilted heather jersey fabric keeps you warm on chilly days.
• The Ottley vest returns this season in an updated color palette. This full zip quilted vest has a unique heather knit collar on the interior and lots of pockets for storage. It is lightweight, water repellent and is an all-around standout style for layering with both knits and woven shirts. The Brunswick hybrid jacket offers the versatility of comfort and performance while letting you look your best. It is crafted from cotton twill, bonded with heather jersey and protects you from the elements with its water repellent finish. It can be layered over all pieces in the line for a great travel blazer look.
• The Woodruff 5-pocket stretch herringbone pant is available in five colors this season. The fabric has a subtle surface interest that is washed for a soft hand feel. Featuring a genuine leather patch, these pants are sure to be a favorite for this season.
• Colors become intensified for fall – North Sea, Coastal Fjord and Tibetan Red have a depth that create a refined level of color, especially when mixed with hazy autumnal mid tones. Smoke blue, heron and tempest tap into the growing popularity of pale purple tones. Crushed violets distinct burgundy cast lends a premium contemporary feel. This color works equally as well with warm olives and khakis, and blue-cast greys and navy.
• Oxford rounds out the season with the introduction of our Reid chukka boot, made with a 100% leather upper and sole. This great style works for every day and is extremely comfortable. There are two new colors offered in the Quincy penny loafer. Chocolate and camel nubuck uppers with tonal stitching add a new twist to a classic look. The footwear from Oxford is crafted in Brazil and offered in sizes 8-12, 13.
