YamaTrack® GPS utility

Kennesaw, Ga. (January 22, 2018) – The iconic, red Yamaha logo will be on full display at the PGA Merchandise Show this week with Yamaha Golf-Car Company broadly expanding its marketing presence at both Demo Day and at the Orange County Convention Center as it unveils a groundbreaking new vehicle, as well as enhancements to its innovative Drive2 golf car line.

PGA Show Demo Day

The veil will officially be lifted on Yamaha’s new golf vehicle on Demo Day at the company’s display area and test track located behind the #2 tee box at Orange County National. Test rides will be available for the new vehicle and Yamaha’s Drive2 golf car product line, featuring the gas-powered EFI QuieTech car that drives nearly as quiet as an electric golf car.

The Drive2 line will also be put to work, along with several Yamaha multi-passenger vehicles, as they pick up attendees at Yamaha Shuttle Stops in the parking lot and transport them to the Demo Day entrance. In addition, Yamaha will provide all the vehicles used by PGA staff, Reed Exhibition personnel and various on-site vendors.

PGA of America Channel Leader Lounge

Once inside the convention hall, Yamaha will enhance its show profile as the sponsor of the lounge at the Channel Leader Club, an invitation-only program of the PGA for a select group of attendees that have been identified as high-level buyers in the golf industry. The Channel Leader Lounge will offer complimentary continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon refreshments, plus a comfortable sitting area to relax and network with industry peers during the show.

Equipment Testing Center

Yamaha will further promote its presence at the PGA Merchandise Show as it provides branded range pickers to gather the tens of thousands of golf balls hit at the Equipment Testing Center, a fully netted and turfed area on the show floor for hitting and chipping with the latest tools of the industry.

YamaTrack and Drive2 Enhancements

Yamaha will be showcasing another exciting innovation with the introduction of an industry-exclusive dash-mounted 10.1″ LCD Screen for the YamaTrack GPS and Fleet Management System. To better complement the ever popular automotive-style dash of the Drive2, the YamaTrack GPS Screen will now mount in the dash itself for greater golfer viewing and easier touch-screen function.

YamaTrack GPS offers a complete suite of fleet management tools for courses as well as improvements for the customer experience. The GPS screen features precise to-the-pin yardage, 3-D hole flyovers, pro tips, customizable messaging, plus access to food and beverage menu ordering right from the screen. YamaTrack DNA includes live pace-of-play monitoring, geofences with alerts and cart control (DC Electric only), fleet lockdown for security and all the management reports needed to ensure proper fleet rotation and maintenance.
