Orlando, FL, January 22, 2018: When attendees walk through the “10 miles of aisles” at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show, they will find two special exhibitors side by side: Mann USA’s Marvin the Golf Caddy Dog and CaddySnax with Versatile Golf. The father/daughter entrepreneurs, Harold Mann and Jill Mann Strite are looking to make a big impact at the 2018 PGA Show.
“My father taught me the game of golf at age seven and we’ve been a golfing duo ever since,” says daughter and LPGA Member Strite. The PGA Show is a true family affair for these two dynamic businesses as Strite’s husband, sister and mom also play vital roles year round and in Orlando.
CADDYSNAX introduced a nutritional solution for golf course operators, tournament managers, and hoteliers at the show in 2016. The product includes 5-7 healthy and delicious snacks, an electrolyte supplement and a wet-nap. Each item is packed into a box designed to fit conveniently into a golf cart, beverage cart or golf bag so players can stay energized while enjoying a round of golf. As Strite’s business has grown, hotels and resorts around the country have begun utilizing the convenient and cost-effective meals for their conference rooms, VIP amenity gifts and departure offerings. In the past months CADDYSNAX has developed a custom box option to accommodate a customer’s branding, logo, and company message.
“We loved having CaddySnax as part of our Annual Zach Johnson Foundation Classic. The boxes allowed for sponsor recognition which fit our needs perfectly. MARVIN the Golf Caddy Dog™ was created by Harold Mann of Omaha six years ago and has grown to a full product line including books, apparel, and other merchandise for kids. As an avid golfer, Mann combines his love for golf and his storytelling talents to create this concept featuring MARVIN the Golf Caddy Dog as the hero. Each book contains an educational component such as rules, etiquette, glossary of terms, and a list of items you might need. The coloring and activity books are for filled with fun, but they teach kids about the game too.
“I’m the father of four girls and married to my best friend,” said Mr. Mann. “These patient ladies trained me to listen with my heart, which is how MARVIN, who’s also our family dog, came to be. I’ve learned a lot over the years watching Jill go through almost every competitive rank and role in the golf industry. I realized that the game, and right now the world, needs more heart too. As a family, we are thrilled to bring our unique businesses and our special story to the PGA Show and cannot wait to make new memories…and of course place a lot of orders.”
Mr. Mann often receives a roster from a junior golf camp or tournament, and then personally dedicates books to these aspiring young players. To further spread his positive message, Mann and his wife Linda deliver MARVIN books to schools across the country. Today Mann’s products are showcased in nearly 1000 golf courses worldwide.
