Following on the industry-leading success of its portable GC2 and GCQuad launch monitors, Foresight Sports has announced its latest innovation, the GCHawk. Designed specifically for the rapidly growing golf and multisport simulation market, the GCHawk’s sleek, ergonomic form factor is elevated above the player to provide a new level of in-game freedom and flexibility.
Harnessing the same object-sensing and image capturing technology found on the GCQuad, the overhead-mounted GCHawk fits seamlessly into a commercial or residential environment and, according to Foresight Sports’ Vice President Jon Watters, makes the virtual game experience easier than ever.
“With the GCHawk, players of both right and left handedness can hit shots with absolute confidence that their shot was precisely captured. All they have to worry about is hitting a great shot.”
Ease of use aside, the innovative launch monitor’s large ball-capture range also make it ideal for a wide range of gaming applications beyond golf. “The GCHawk can deliver a variety of never-before-seen game experiences,” says Watters. “We’re already developing new apps that leverage the platform’s multisport capabilities.”
Like its predecessors, the GCHawk is fully compatible with Foresight Sports’ FSX simulation software, as well as the company’s growing collection of performance and game apps.
Foresight Sports will be showcasing the GCHawk at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show. The company’s full line of solutions, including its new Downrange Tracking System, will be showcased at its Outdoor Demo Day booth at Tee #7 and indoor exhibit booth #1025. Several major equipment manufacturers – including PING, Callaway Golf, and TaylorMade Golf – will be showcasing Foresight Sports GCQuad and Performance Simulators as a core part of their new product demonstrations.
The 2018 PGA Merchandise Show kicks off with Outdoor Demo Day on January 23 at the Orange County National Golf Center. Exhibit halls open at the Orange County Convention Center January 24.
