Rock Lucas’s Charwood Country Club Joins Quick.golf

Minneapolis, MN: Charwood Country Club in West Columbia, SC, owned by outgoing NGCOA president Rock Lucas- is the first course in South Carolina to offer Quick.golf – a new way to play the game.

“I’ve spent the last two years as NGCOA president traveling the country, visiting our golf course members and seeing and hearing some great ideas implemented,” says Lucas. “Here at Charwood, we’ve looked at ways to alter the typical golfer dynamic of only playing 18-hole or 9-hole rounds of golf. The Quick.golf web app makes it easy for us to offer a play and pay by the hole experience with cutting-edge technology. Our industry needs to adopt technologies that can drive incremental revenue, and I’m happy to be a leader using Quick.golf.”

“Rock Lucas is a dynamic golf course operator and highly respected leader in the golf industry,” says Quick.golf co-founder Harvey Silverman. “By deploying Quick.golf, Charwood is staying ahead of the game, and we welcome them to the Quick.golf network. Rock joins us in letting golfers play when they can, as much as they can, even if it is not 18 or even 9 holes.”

About Quick.golf LLC: Quick.golf is golf’s contribution to the convenience revolution pioneered by services like Open Table and Uber. Pay-by-hole golf is not new, but using technology to pair golfers who don’t have enough time to play a full round with golf courses that offer pay-by-hole makes it a viable way for many courses to promote and generate incremental revenue. Our web app is easy to implement and manage and is finding its way to both advanced-thinking course operators, and to golfers whose lifestyles demand an alternative to play the game.
