Phoenix, Ariz, (January 30, 2018)-Daphne’s Headcovers, one of Greater Phoenix’s most successful golf businesses, will offer some crowd-pleasing surprises at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, held at TPC Scottsdale.
The 2018 line boasts some new designs to our globally best selling global headcovers. Check out the Doodle Hybrid, French Bulldog, Tuxedo Cat and Tori Point Cat. John Daly’s signature Lion and our Military Bear ( supporting the Veteran’s Golf Association) join the fuzzy Alpaca in the animal headcovers category. The Saguaro will stand tall for Arizona wherever your golf bag shows up.
Daphne’s is a true hometown success story which started 39 years ago when Jane Spicer and her mother, Daphne, decided to make headcovers out of puppets. Dogs, cats, and wildlife are prominent, and “Just for Fun” designs add to the variety. The Tiger Headcover was an early hit, helping to launch the craze.
Spicer likes to connect with her player-clients when they come to town for the Phoenix Open. The 2018 field includes Aaron Baddeley (Koala), Keegan Bradley (Golden Doodle), Austin Cook ( Boar), Robert Garrigus (Bulldog), J.B. Holmes (Golden Doodle), Ryan Moore (Rhino), and Chez Reavie ( Golden Retriever) to name a few.
Daphne’s Headcovers are available during tournament week, January 29 to February 4, and year round at your favorite golf shop.

About the Waste Management Phoenix Open
The Phoenix Open is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour played in early February. It was held at Phoenix Country Club since its inception in 1932 and moved in 1987 to the Stadium Course at TPC Scottsdale. Nicknamed “The Greatest Show on Grass,” the Open is run by the Thunderbirds, a local civic organization which donates proceeds to charities. The Phoenix Open is the best-attended event in golf, partly attributable to the relaxed atmosphere enjoyed by fans and players alike. The notorious par-3 16th hole is often the site of rowdy but good-natured behavior. https://wmphoenixopen.com
