ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 5, 2018) – PGA teaching professional Craig Renshaw, a four-time nominee for Section PGA Teacher of the Year, is scheduled to appear as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive on Wednesday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 10.
The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. ET on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. – noon on Saturday.
Renshaw, a Senior Staff Instructor with The Legacy Golf Performance Center in Phoenix, Ariz., is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select GCA coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The PGA Tour Champions Learning Center and School of Golf; Renshaw is making his second appearance on Morning Drive.
A PGA teaching professional with more than 25 years coaching experience, Renshaw conducts upwards of 1,000 lessons per year. He is an AimPoint Putting Certified Instructor as well as a C.H.E.K. Biomechanical Specialist. Renshaw’s other certifications include TrackMan, K-Vest (Level 3) and SAM PuttLab.
“I’m excited to be appearing on Morning Drive once again,” said Renshaw, the former Director of Instruction at Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club in New Hampshire and Paradise Valley Country Club in Arizona. “I look forward to sharing some of my favorite lessons with the viewers at home and helping them have as much fun on the course as possible.”
Renshaw’s teaching is based on solid fundamentals with an emphasis on the individual and getting them to perform their best on the course, not on the lesson tee. “Too many people are taught to swing the club and very few are taught how to play the game,” said Renshaw.
