Ngamotu course at New Plymouth Golf Club first to offer play and pay by the hole
The nationally-renowned Ngamotu (pronounced NahMOOtoo) course at New Plymouth Golf Club will be the first Kiwi golf facility to implement Quick.golf’s play and pay by the hole web app.
Nick and Will Rowland, proprietors of Rolly Bros. Limited, have partnered with Quick.golf in the U.S. to create the Kiwi version, www.quickgolf.nz which links to the web app go.quick.golf.nz.
“We’re thrilled to be our country’s first golf club to offer a way to play golf that realizes the lifestyle changes many Kiwis are experiencing,” says New Plymouth general manager Simon Rowe. “I’ve heard so many times “I don’t have time to play a round of golf!”, Kiwis love golf and love the outdoors and I think giving them a way to play within their personal time constraints makes all the sense in the world.”
“We read about Quick.golf and recognize both my brother and myself as being perfect customers for a pay-by-hole alternative,” says Nick Rowland. “Golf is thriving in New Zealand, and Will and I have been involved with the New Zealand golf community and business for many years. We think Kiwis are ready for Quick.Golf and we’re excited to be able to deliver it to them. At its core, golf is a simple game, and Quick.Golf is a simple solution to making the game more accessible to busy golfers of all abilities.”
“New Zealand shows us that golf’s difficult market conditions are similar in other countries where golf is long established,” says co-founder Harvey Silverman. “The Rowland’s have a keen sense of this in their home country, and we’re excited to have New Plymouth Golf Club be the first to introduce the Quick.golf pay-by-hole alternative to the Kiwis.”
About Quick.golf LLC: Quick.golf is golf’s contribution to the convenience revolution pioneered by services like Open Table and Uber. Pay-by-hole golf is not new, but using technology to pair golfers who don’t have enough time to play a full round with golf courses that offer pay-by-hole makes it a viable way for many courses to promote and generate incremental revenue. Our web app is easy to implement and manage and is finding its way to both advanced-thinking course operators, and to golfers whose lifestyles demand an alternative to play the game. About Rolly Bros. Limited: Rolly Bros. Limited was born with the excitement of bringing a new way to play the game we love to Kiwi shores. Golf has always been a big part of brothers Nick and Will Rowland’s lives. Their father Brian ‘Big Bird’ Rowland didn’t give his three sons much of an option not to love the game. Big Bird passed down his passion for the game, unfortunately some of his skills may have missed a generation. We’re excited to be bringing QuickGolf to New Zealand, making golf more accessible and affordable to play for all Kiwis.
