BOURBON, MO – Imperial Headwear, the #1 headwear brand for Private and Resort golf facilities as reported by the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) in their Member Survey the last 3 consecutive years, announced a new partnership and e-commerce fundraising collaboration with the Texas Golf Association (TGA).
Imperial will become the “Official Headwear of the Texas Golf Association” under the new agreement, and provide headwear for contestants in the TGA’s top competitive events in 2018. These tournaments include the 109th Texas Amateur Championship, Mid-Amateur Championship, Mid-Amateur Match Play, Senior Amateur, Women’s Stroke Play Championship, as well as other events during the season.
Imperial will also be offering limited edition TGA headwear on their website – ImperialSports.com – and a portion of the proceeds will be directed back to the Texas Golf Association, which will support a variety of Texas-based golf initiatives, including junior golf, player development, scholarships and turf grass research.
“The TGA is pleased to partner with Imperial Headwear,” said Rob Addington, executive director of the Texas Golf Association. “We’ve worked closely together with Imperial over the years on several of our programs, and we’re excited about the prospect of collaborating to help grow the game.”
The limited edition collection of hats offered online will include a variety of headwear styles in multiple colors and a t-shirt with the core TGA logo displayed. $10 from each cap/tee sold online will go directly to the TGA and free ground shipping is available on all products too. About the Texas Golf Association (TGA)
The Texas Golf Association Foundation, the charitable arm of the TGA, is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that was established to make certain that golf in Texas continues to grow and prosper. It achieves this mission through the financial and administrative support of existing grass-roots junior golf development programs, and in creating new avenues for deserving and underserved youth to learn some of life’s most important lessons through their exposure to the game of golf. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to have played the game for any length of time can attest that golf has inherent traits – honesty, self-discipline, integrity and the competitive spirit – that prove to be immensely valuable in life. Additionally, the golf-related industry offers many exciting job opportunities like PGA professional, course superintendent and club management. By ensuring that deserving young people from every walk-of-life have the opportunity to be exposed to this great game and the accompanying valuable life lessons to be learned, as well as discovering the many possible career opportunities surrounding the sport, the TGA Foundation expects that golf in the Lone Star State will be in good hands for generations to come.
