Four straight events with Exotics CBX in play by a top 5 finisher
Tour Edge continued their hot streak on the PGA Tour Champions this weekend at the Cologuard Classic.
Scott Dunlap, a Tour Edge hybrid staff player, tied for 2nd at the Omni Tucson National golf course playing an Exotics CBX 18 degree hybrid with an AeroTech shaft.
Another player, a six-time PGA TOUR champion, earned a Top 5 finish with an 18 degree Exotics CBX hybrid in play for the first time this week.
A total of five players in the Top 25 of the Cologuard Classic were playing Exotics CBX metalwoods.
“That’s two runner-up finishes in a row plus a victory that Exotics CBX metalwoods have been in the bag for in the last two events on Champions,” said Tour Edge President David Glod. “People are starting to take notice what Exotics CBX is doing on the pro tours and in turn, more and more golfers are seeking out the clubs at our retail partners.”
According to the Darrell Survey, 39 Exotics CBX fairway woods and hybrids have been put into play on the PGA TOUR Champions over the first four events in the young season. Exotics CBX ranked as the #2 most played hybrid model in Tucson and in the past three PGA Tour Champions events and running.
After four events on the 2018 PGA Tour Champions season, Exotics CBX metalwoods have been in the bag for one win, two runner-up finishes, six Top 5 and 10 Top 10 finishes.
Tour Edge is even keeping count of these tour statistics on a scoreboard on www.touredge.com.
“We are averaging four Top 25 finishes per event so far and we have climbed the usage rankings steadily since we came out here,” said Tour Edge Vice President of Marketing Jon Claffey. “Exotics CBX clubs are the hottest new movers and shakers in metalwoods on the PGA Tour Champions and in comparison to any other movement on any professional tour in terms of usage and top finishes earned. That recognition is giving CBX a huge boost in the market place. ”
Exotics CBX are the only metalwoods ever designed to feature a Titanium face, stainless steel body and carbon fiber sole.
The Exotics CBX hybrid’s higher CG is located slightly forward in the club head through the use of a carbon fiber in the sole, which is significantly lighter than stainless steel. This helps to increase ball speed and reduce spin, which makes for less dispersion. Tour Edge’s extremely thin Beta-titanium cup-face enlarges the ideal hitting area on the clubs. It is brazed to stainless steel behind the hitting area which allows the face to flex more at impact, while the Speed Ramp sole design provides reduced turf interaction so the club can maintain its speed through the hitting area. This has led to independent robot tests that have shown the CBX to average more than 16 yards longer in distance than several of the best selling fairway woods on the market.
The Tour Edge Exotics CBX fairway woods, Exotics CBX hybrids and Exotics CBX Iron-Woods are currently available at select authorized Tour Edge retailers. To find a Tour Edge retailer near you, call (800) 515-3343 or visit touredge.com.
