Vacaville, CA- The Northern California Section of the Professional Golfers’ Association (NCPGA) has announced the appointment of veteran PGA Golf Professional Len Dumas as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer to lead their Section. Dumas brings 29 years of experience as a PGA professional with the majority of that time in key management roles.
In making the announcement, NCPGA Board of Directors President Bill Troyanoski explained, “After an exhaustive candidate search, we are thrilled to name Len Dumas to lead our section. He brings a wealth of experience as a golf professional and industry leader. In the 25 years he has been a member of our section, he has gained a valued reputation as a trusted advisor. We are confident he is the right person to lead our 1,100 NCPGA Section Professionals.” According to Troyanoski, the NCPGA is the seventh largest of the 41 PGA of America Sections within the U.S.
Dumas remarked, “The confidence the Section Board of Directors has shown in me is humbling. I am eager to assist the staff as we tackle the day-to-day operations of the Section while also working with members to develop and execute a strategic plan that will assure our success moving forward.”
In the course of his time as a PGA professional, Dumas has been recognized for his organizational leadership skills, project management, and financial acumen. His contributions as a mentor have well-served many NCPGA Section members.
Dumas has served on the NCPGA Board of Directors since 2006, becoming a Section officer in 2008 and serving as President in 2012-2013. He is the 2013 recipient of the prestigious NCPGA Golf Professional of the Year award.
