Scottsdale, Ariz. (March 19, 2018) – Troon®, the leader in golf course management, development, and marketing, has been selected to manage Westhaven Golf Club, a private club located three miles from historic downtown Franklin, Tenn. just south of Nashville. Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will oversee the course and club operations at Westhaven.
Open since 2009, Westhaven Golf Club’s 18-hole golf course was designed by Arthur Hills, Steve Forrest and Associates. The golf course is the centerpiece of the Westhaven master-planned community, yet no homes line the course. The core-golf design blends seamlessly with the surrounding hills and ridgelines of western Williamson County earning the club national recognition for outstanding design from both GolfWeek and Golf Digest.
“Being a core golf course, uninhabited by homes, Westhaven Golf Club provides an exceptional and rare golf experience,” said Bob Barrett CEO of Honours Golf, a division of Troon. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to enhance an already spectacular club through Troon levels of service and proven agronomy practices, while embracing the traditions already in place at Westhaven.”
Westhaven Golf Club’s clubhouse provides exceptional food, beverage and event services. Members enjoy casual and fine dining options in the club’s bar, grill and Main Dining Room, while the club’s family-centric atmosphere includes social activities for kids and adults.
The Westhaven Golf Academy offers quality instruction for golfers of all abilities as well as club fitting. The Golf Academy is committed to growing the game by offering numerous junior golf programs, including the Junior Golf Academy, junior golf summer camps, PGA Junior League teams and junior-only events. The Golf Academy will soon be expanding as a new insulated and heated hitting bay will be built and will provide members the opportunity to practice year-round in an indoor facility while hitting balls onto the range. The indoor bay will be first of its kind in the Nashville area.
“Westhaven Golf Club is fortunate and excited to have Troon Privé managing the day-to-day operations of the club,” said Brian Sewell, President, Southern Land Company. “Troon will help take the club to the next level in terms of member experience, service and agronomy standards. In addition, the Troon Privé Privilege program is an added benefit for our full golf members, giving them reciprocal access to other Troon Privé-managed clubs around the country.”
The Troon Privé Division currently manages more than 80 private clubs, half of which are member owned. Members of Troon Privé-managed clubs have exclusive access to extraordinary golf and lifestyle benefits around the world. All members can choose to receive Troon Privé Connect, Troon’s digital magazine developed specifically for the private clubs, as well as access to experience packages through Privileged Connections and premium tickets to sporting and concert events at the best price. Qualified members receive reciprocal access to other private clubs in the portfolio at a preferred Privé Privilege rate, and tee times at Troon Golf-managed resort and daily fee facilities around the world through the Troon Advantage program.
