Handful of team spots remain for event played on southwest Ireland’s Waterville Golf Links
(DUBLIN, Ireland) – Carr Golf – Ireland and Scotland’s premier provider of unforgettable golf vacations – announces only a handful of team spots remain available for its 11th annual World Invitational Father & Daughter Tournament to be held July 23 – 26 on County Kerry’s world-class Waterville Golf Links.
The celebration has become a mainstay on Carr Golf’s annual roster of prestigious tournaments. Highlights include three rounds of golf at Waterville, deluxe nightly accommodations, welcome reception, full Irish breakfasts each morning, tournament photo and gifts, shuttle transportation throughout and prize ceremony complemented by a BBQ dinner.
Teryn Schaefer – television host of several PGA TOUR shows including The Takeaway, Trending on TOUR and tournament preview shows – will be participating in this year’s event.
“My dad and I are thrilled to be playing in this year’s tournament,” says Schaefer. “The travel demands of my job don’t allow me to spend as much time with my dad as I’d like, so making our first trip to Ireland together and playing together as a team will be a truly special experience for us.”
Last year, Carr Golf hosted 34 teams hailing from the U.S., Canada, Italy and Ireland. Playing out of Connecticut’s Country Club of Fairfield, Larry and Clare Foley won the 36-hole net event in the “Better Ball Stableford” format. Michael and Stephanie Sullivan of Garden City Golf Club (N.J.) won the gross division. To view photos from the 2017 tournament, click here.
Prizes awarded aren’t limited to on-course play. Carly and Jared Haines of New York’s Wykagyl Country Club won last year’s award for “Best Dressed,” and Klea Armstrong of Kingsbury National Golf Club (N.Y.) was honored for “Best Social Media Post.”
