Event held on Sunday, April 1 at Augusta National Golf Club
PGA Golf Club’s junior member Gloria Nip will participate in the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship on Sunday, April 1 at the famed Augusta National Golf Club.
Nip will be competing in the Girls 10-11 Division after winning the regional qualifier at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. It was a true family affair, competing against her younger sister, Angela. This will be Gloria’s second visit to the event, having participated in 2015 in the Girls 7-9 Division.
Nip credits the PGA Learning Center and playing one of its four courses daily for prepping her for this event.

A joint initiative founded in 2013 by the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and The PGA of America, Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf.
Drive, Chip and Putt provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which are conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and broadcast live by Golf Channel. A total of 80 finalists will compete in eight divisions – broken down by girls and boys, ages 7-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15.
