Los Angeles, CA -April 10th, 2018 – Forelinx is proud to announce the expansion of its course portfolio through a new partnership with the American Golf Corporation. The deal will bring 26 of American Golf’s California courses into the Forelinx Network.
“We quickly got interested in working with Forelinx after hearing some of the details on their course-focused approach to third-party distribution,” said American Golf’s Regional Vice President of Revenue Management Al Weinhold. “They really seem to have thought through third-party relationships from the perspective of the golf course operator and the deeper we dug into the dynamics of their model the more interested we became. Most importantly, the relationship comes at absolutely no cost. We could jump into this able to know it could only generate positive returns.”
Unlike most online distribution models, Forelinx neither requires their courses to provide discounted inventory nor demands payment any form of payment in barter times, commission or cash. The course simply selects a set of rates they’d like to distribute through the Forelinx Network and collects 100% of the revenue generated from any tee times that are sold.
“We’ve always been extremely careful in how we engage and manage our third-party relationships,” added American Golf Vice President of Revenue Management Chris May. “Forelinx provides us both the control and the flexibility to ensure that distribution to their network does not compete but rather aligns with our existing rate/brand strategies.”
American Golf is one of the largest golf course management companies currently operating in the United States. Based in Los Angeles, their stable includes over 60 courses and clubs nationwide with the highest density coming in their home market of Southern California.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with the largest management company in California,” said Forelinx Vice President of Courses & Partnerships Sam Kestin. “We’ve worked very hard to build our platform in a way that speaks to the concerns of the golf course operator and we feel honored that such a well-respected name in the golf industry would choose to partner with us.”
Forelinx is always looking for quality courses to add to their network. If you are a course owner or operator who is interested in finding out more about Forelinx, you can view their course partnerships microsite or contact their partnerships department listed below.
