ORLANDO, Fla., April 16, 2018…Marriott Golf, the global golf division of Marriott International, Inc., today announced that Stephen Banks has joined the Marriott International golf team as the Director of Golf at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Grand Cayman. In his new role, Banks will be responsible for overseeing all golf operations for the luxury 9-hole facility including membership, retail merchandising, tournaments, and overall golf shop operations. The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is a AAA 5-Diamond Hotel situated on famous Seven Mile Beach, and has earned multiple industry accolades, including: Conde Nast Traveler Gold List, and Travel & Leisure’s World’s Best Hotels – Top 10 Caribbean Hotels.
Stephen is a British PGA Member and an accomplished player, distinguishing himself in events throughout Southeast Asia and while growing up in Manchester, UK. Prior to being named Director of Golf at Grand Cayman, Stephen was recently the General Manager at Bukit Pandawa Golf and CC in Bali. He has also held leadership positions at various golf clubs and resorts in Egypt, Nigeria, Vietnam and Indonesia.

The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Grand Cayman, designed by Greg Norman, is a 9-hole course offering challenging play amid breathtaking natural beauty. The course was designed in a way to make its 470-yard-hole play like 600. The course is perfect for those who want to play one or multiple rounds in a day. The resort golf club also offers a golf shop, tournament conditioning, customized instruction, and indoor golf simulators.
