Angel joins 18Birdies’ growing list of female professional golfer ambassadors
OAKLAND, Calif., – April 18, 2018 – Mobile golf technology startup, 18Birdies, today announced the signing of rising LPGA star, Angel Yin, to a three-year deal as a brand ambassador. Yin joins Anna Nordqvist, Paige Spiranac and Tania Tare as female professional golfers representing the brand. The deal will include apparel signage, personal appearances, weekly Live Rounds posted within the app during LPGA tournament weeks and exclusive content within the 18Birdies social feed.
Making the jump to the professional ranks directly from high school, Angel began her career on the Ladies European Tour, where she earned her first career professional win at the 2017 Omega Dubai Ladies Classic. Yin made her debut on the LPGA Tour during the 2017 season, where she was a captain’s pick for the Solheim Cup, secured five top 10 finishes and ranked second in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings. Other career accolades include being the second youngest player (age 13) to ever play in a Women’s U.S. Open, winning the 2007 Callaway Junior World Championship (7-8 yr. old category) and winning two California State Women’s Amateur Championships by the age of 12.
